How to Connect Your Google Ads and Merchant Center Accounts to PriceRadar

Why connect your Google Ads and MC accounts?

Before you start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • A Google Merchant Center account with active product listings

  • Admin access to both your Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts

  • A Google Ads account linked to your Merchant Center


Step 1: Add PriceRadar to your Merchant Center

If your Merchant Center CSS switch is already completed, you can skip this step. You can verify this by clicking the Check connection button on the Merchant Center integration card in your PriceRadar dashboard.

First, you need to grant PriceRadar read-only access to your Google Merchant Center:

  1. Log in to Google Merchant Center and go to Settings > Access and services

  2. Click the Add person button under the People section

  3. Enter the following service account email address:

priceradar-partner@csscomplete.iam.gserviceaccount.com

  1. Click Next and confirm

Since this is a service account, Google Merchant Center will recognize it automatically and add it right away. No separate invitation or acceptance step is needed.

Step 2: Add PriceRadar to your Google Ads account

Otherwise, grant the same service account read-only access to your Google Ads account:

  1. Log in to Google Ads and go to Admin > Access and security

  2. Click the + button to add a new user

  3. Enter the same service account email address:

priceradar-partner@csscomplete.iam.gserviceaccount.com

  1. Set the access level to Read only

  2. Click Send invitation

Just like with Merchant Center, Google Ads recognizes the service account and grants access immediately. 


What happens after connecting?

Once both accounts are connected, PriceRadar takes care of everything automatically:

  • Sync your product data from Merchant Center for analytics

  • Import campaign performance from Google Ads every 6 hours for reporting and optimization insights

  • Enable advanced analytics like the Labelizer for campaign segmentation, search term analysis, and wasted spend detection

There is nothing else you need to configure. PriceRadar detects your accounts and handles the rest.


Frequently asked questions

Is my data safe?

Yes. PriceRadar only has read-only access to both your Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts. We never modify your product listings, campaign settings, or bids.

How long does the CSS switch take?

The CSS switch typically takes effect within 24 hours after your accounts are connected. You will notice the change in your Google Ads interface where the CSS partner name updates to PriceRadar.

Can I disconnect at any time?

Absolutely. You can remove PriceRadar access from both your Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts at any time by removing the service account email. Your Shopping ads will automatically revert to Google CSS.

Do I need to change my bidding strategy?

No changes are required. Your existing bidding strategies, whether Manual CPC, Target ROAS, or Performance Max, will continue to work as before. The only difference is that your full bid now participates in auctions.
